Poe's Tavern: Discover Coastal Cuisine with Burgers, Seafood, and Vibrant Atmosphere

Water was nasty. Burger lacked mayonnaise, and was undercooked. $9 for a cider on tap..cute popp'n place overall. Needs hand towels in bathroom.

We love Poe's! They have a great interior all dedicated to things Edgar Allen Poe! Even the bathroom is wallpapered with Edgar Allen Poe book pages and a dramatic reading of his books play over the speakers inside there! The food is very delicious although a tad on the pricier side for a burger but they are well made (with always options to make the dish a chicken sandwich or a veggie burger) and well worth it. The servers are very personable and fast and knowledgeable about their kitchen and drink selection. Its a great place for families and groups and have a spacious interior and adorable patio! Its super convenient to all the shops and the beach and is a great spot to hang out. We frequent this place when in Atlantic Beach! Parking is difficult due to the small lot,

Fantastic American Bar food. I got a cheese burger and it was perfectly cooked and one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. The fries were crispy and tasty, the toppings were fresh and delicious. Would definitely come here again. Grace was also a great server! Timely, friendly and welcoming!

Poe's has the best burger in town! Several variations on the burger and each can be had with a beef patty, chicken patty, or a veggie patty. Ordered it medium and it was perfectly done! The staff is very friendly and was able to accommodate a large group with ease! A definite must eat place in Neptune!

Have had lunch here a couple of times now (am new to area). GREAT burgers! Friendly staff. Excellent outdoor dining area that's buffered just enough from traffic (slow), but still gives you that good sidewalk atmosphere.

We stopped by Poe’s Tavern at the beach after seeing great reviews—and they did not disappoint! The burgers were fantastic and absolutely live up to the hype. I had the chicken quesadilla, which was good (not the best I’ve ever had, but still enjoyable due to the chipotle sour cream & fresh guac). Our server, Alex B, was absolutely amazing—super attentive, friendly, and had such a great personality. She checked in often and made us feel really taken care of.Alex B gave 5 star service from start to finish! The drinks were also a hit! I had a spicy margarita, and it was honestly one of the better ones I’ve had in town. My daughter had the Poe’s Punch and said it was refreshing and tropical—perfect for a beach day. It was a little warm inside because the A.C. wasn’t working that day, but they let us know it’s usually on. Honestly, I felt worse for the staff than for us—we weren’t there long. Regardless, the food and service made it worth it, and I’d absolutely recommend this place and plan to come back! Also, I loved the unique Poe-themed touch—while in the restrooms, you can hear Edgar Allan Poe stories playing over the speakers. Such a cool and creative detail that made the experience even more memorable!

Definitely recommend Poes if you’re in this area. Treated my granddaughter to lunch. We were seated immediately and our service from Alex was top notch. I appreciated her prompt, efficient and very friendly service. Thank you Alex, you made our visit special! I had the Buffalo Shrimp Salad and Chloe had the Pit and Pendulum burger. Her burger was cooked exactly how she asked for it, fries were crispy and hot. My shrimp was very fresh and the blue cheese dressing is chunky and delicious! Had the Poe’s Punch and would have had more but I was driving. Loved the atmosphere with Poe’s face everywhere. Pups are welcome on the outside deck and I saw a waitress carrying a bowl of water for them. A great experience and I’d definitely return!
